New Comic Book Day!
It’s Wednesday, which means you should be on your way to your local comic shop to buy some books right now. As the presumptuous person I am, I thought I would make some recommendations. Obviously Avengers Vs. X-Men and Batman don’t need my help, but both issues come out swinging this week. Personally I have loved all of the Valiant Comics relaunched titles and Harbinger and X-O Manowar are both out this week and worth your cash. Also Greg Rucka’s criminally underloved Stumptown starts again this week so get the hardcover of vol.1 and then get vol.2 #1. Swarte’s beautiful Is That All There Is is in paperback this week and kind of amazing. The same goes for the Mondo tpb. Lastly, a few of our buddies put out great books this week and you are doing yourself a disservice if you don’t buy them. Pick up Hoax Hunters #3 (I believe you can get issues #0 & #1 for free online still). DC launches a very fun book with Justin Jordan of “Luther Strode” fame writing it in Team 7 #0. And our good friend Garry Brown takes over art of Brian Wood’s stunningly good The Massive #4. Buy all this stuff, or whatever you want. Just go buy something.
